If your wondering how i found this out and you have Halo waypoint and Xbox Live
Follow these steps to find the source :
Launch Halo : Waypoint
Go to Intel
Then The Universe
Scroll down and find the " Forerunner Primer"
In there, there is a bestarium, a list of creatures, Open it.
Now Open the Caveat article,
Notice on the cover of it, It has no image, other than a forerunner symbol that has appeared on every sheild world.
Unlike all others, this also has an "Ongoing Investigation"
Now, that seems supsicous and it shows there working on it.
Compared to all other species in this list it has no detail what so ever.
However the list of sources of there existence is interesting :
They have had contact with Monitor's 343 and 2401.
They have also communicated with Sheild worlds (Nick named as Sheilds in the list)
and the Halo installations is a possibility too, as they are in the list, but there status says "Clear"
They also have "Unsecured alien computer archives" Which seems to suggest they arent related to the Forerunners at all.
In any case, ill update this again as i find more.
I tryed posting about this in the bungie forums : The flood, and got blacklisted, seems supsicous, to insta black list the post before it was even viewed.
